Gilded bronze hanging CARTEL with rich openwork and movement decoration of acanthus scrolls and florets, the upper part adorned with a trellis with a bird. Signed S.GERMAIN. Dial with Roman and Arabic numerals. Later Paris movement. Eighteenth-century elements. (Lacks, restorations and later elements, pendulum to be hung up). Height: 60 cm - Width: 38 cm - Depth: 13 cm Based on a classic model by the foundry chaser Jean-Joseph de Saint Germain (1719 - 1791), who specialized in the manufacture of clock cases.
