A rosewood and amaranth veneered SQUARE COMMODE with canted uprights and a central projecting front opening to two drawers without rails, resting on four curved legs. Inlaid frieze in reserves bordered by friezes. Gilt bronze trim including drawer handles, keyholes, lamp-ends and lion's paw feet. Stamped D.GENTY and marked JME. Transition period.
