A COMMODE in veneer of various precious woods, with a canted front opening to five drawers in three rows, two of which are transomless, resting on sheath legs. Rich inlaid decoration of quatrefoils in latticework and leafy branches. Gilt-bronze ornamentation including uprights, lamp-ends, drawer handles, keyholes, trimmings and runners. Stamped DAUTRICHE and marked JME. Louis XVI period (small chips and accidents, restorations, missing marble, missing veneer, bronze trimmings on front legs to be re-attached). Height: 81 cm - Width: 121.5 cm - Depth: 60.5 cm Jacques VAN OOSTERINCK dit DAUTRICHE, received master in 1765.
